I LOVE IT! ! !

I just love my new banner. Valerie made it for me! Isn't it the cutest ever! Well maybe not to everyone but to me it's the cutest ever! Lil Punky, aka Little Boo, Snickerdoodle, Punkius . . . is my little buddy. He cheers me up when I'm feeling down, he's always happy to see me and he knows when I need a cuddle.

I've been so busy that I haven't had much time to stamp. I went to a Women's Retreat with my church, Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley this past weekend. It was wonderful. It felt like I had been up on the mountain in His Presence. I had a lot to catch up with but it was so worth taking the time to be in His Peace.

I'm posting a pic of my 3x3 box with gift cards. These are so much fun to make and it's a good way to use your scraps.

Have a good weekend - I hope to post some projects next week. I'll be starting my Stamp Club / Make n Take classes next weekend. Better get busy - I must.

My Stamping Room

I thought I would show you some of my other stamping room projects. Valerie and I made these really cool ribbon boards. They were so easy to make. We've been able to put all of our cards on them for display. I made 3 of them with coordinating fabrics.

Of course they are filled up by now . . . I just keep trading out the new cards for the old cards. I love them!

Here is another project that Valerie and I did together. This project consists of 6 small, empty paint cans that we got at Home Depot. We covered them with designer paper, hot-glued them together, added the embellishments and the ribbon and Viola!

And one more thing . . . Here is a card I did for a TAC swap. I apologize for the quality. The paper I used was the new SU In-Color Kiwi Kiss. The designer paper is a retired from SU too . . . I'm part of Valerie's TAC (The Angel Company) circle. It is so much fun and she always has the funnest projects for us. Please check out Valerie's Blog at http://pixiedreamdesigns.blogspot.com/

Well I guess I better get back to the real work . . . Hope your day is PEACHY!

New Projects

I wanted to post some pics of a couple of projects I've made for my Sister and for my Mom. This is a pic of the "photo cube" I made for my sister (the Greatest Sis In The World). The pics are of her grandbabies - Aren't they adorable? It was made using 4x4 coasters and 3.5" coasters. I used TAC designer paper for this one! Love those colors!
The other project was for my Mom (the Greatest Mom on Earth and Heaven) . . . You see, she is a quilter . . . she makes the most beautiful quilts ever . . . and all by hand! This is the only quilt I've ever started and completed. I just don't have that same gift. I put it in a white frame and it was beautiful (even if I do say so myself - oh wait - I just did). Really I was proud of it. Tell me what you think. I used some retired Stampin' Up! designer paper and a retired SU image.

I also wanted to post the Decor Elements I put in my room and my hallway. I love them. I want to put them all over my house but I also want to see what SU comes up with next. They were easy to apply and what an impact they make!

Well . . . I know it been a long while since I posted anything. I tell you what . . . dial up is the PITS . . . I get frustrated . . . but bear with me. I'm learning as I go.

Happy Monday . . . oops . . . I mean Tuesday. It sure feels like a Monday.

Love that New Sock Monkey!

What a fun day! ! ! . . . I find that putting a little creativity into each day makes life more relaxing. On Thursdays I get together with my new, WONDERFUL, FUN, CREATIVE friend Valerie. (Be sure to check out her blog -http://pixiedreamdesigns.blogspot.com/).

Anyway . . . we were working on a lot of fun projects. First we did a sketch challenge #1 that Jen has posted on her blog here http://expressivelyme.blogspot.com/2008/07/new-little-cs-aloha-weekly-challenge-1.html . Here is my card . . . Valerie made a CUTE, CUTE card too . . . Be sure to check her blog to see her card and her other fun cards and projects! Don't cha just love those itsy-bitsy button brads (I got them from TAC).

Here is a card I made for Valerie . . . just 'cause . . . to THANK HER . . . for being such a great FRIEND. What do you think? I also used the new Happiness Always stamp set from Stampin' Up! to make the palm leaves. The base of the tree is scored and cross-scored and then sponged on the edges. I used the brown Flock on the monkey to make him fuzzy . . .

Here are a couple of other cards we did using another sketch we found and CTH stamp images . . . They are too cute! I JUST LOVE THE EMBOSSING . . . Gotta get me a cuttle bug . . . Thanks Val for letting me use yours!

And last but not least (never underestimate the size of a card - this one is 3 x 3) is a little card Valerie made for me as I was cleaning my "mess". Isn't it too cute!

A New Beginning

I feel like this is a new beginning for me. This will be my first post - hopefully one of many. First I would like to thank my very wonderful friend Valerie for helping me get started. You can check out her blog - it's listed under Blogs I Visit. Valerie has encouraged me and she has been such a blessing to me. She is so creative - wait till you see her beautiful cards.

I am also very excited because I just received my Decor Elements catalogs from Stampin' Up! You've got to see their new line! I am also getting ready to host an open house to introduce the new Fall-Winter Stampin' Up! catalog. I know they've got a lot of great new stamps, accessories and ideas coming up.

Over the next couple of days I hope to post some projects I'm working on, some new cards with the new SU line and the transition of my hobby room to a "Dream Room." I hope you'll stay tuned.
